Microsoft Adopts OpenAI Tech To Autogenerate Emails Replies

The company (Microsoft), which cracked an investment deal with OpenAI worth $10 billion in January, will now compose professional email replies to its clients with the help of OpenAI.

Microsoft has always been in the limelight for using artificial intelligence to improve its products and services.

This latest adoption of OpenAI technology will embark a significant step forward in the company’s mission to make AI accessible and beneficial for its users.

Furthermore, OpenAI’s GPT 3.5 – (a system that is the base for the ChatGPT chatbot) will extract the essential information from the customer’s records and office email software.

Thus, the pulled-out data will produce emails, including personalized text, pricing details, and promotions.

Through Viva Sales, this whole process will come into the action of altering email replies. 

Viva Sales is famous for connecting Microsoft’s Office and Video Conferencing programs with customer management software. 

Launched in October 2022, Viva Sales intends to work with Microsoft’s Dynamics customer management program and that of rival Salesforce. 

Moreover, it’s free for users who sign up for the premium versions of Dynamics and $40/-month for Salesforce customers.

OpenAI CEO, Sam Altman, said, “We’re thrilled to be working with Microsoft to bring the power of advanced AI technology to email users around the world. 

As per the company, the technology would be available across all its email platforms, including Outlook and Exchange. 

The company aims to streamline the email writing process and save salespeople valuable time in their workday. 

Therefore, the ability to generate real-time email responses will transform how people work, and we’re excited to be a part of that change.”

However, integrating OpenAI’s advanced language models will allow Microsoft to provide more efficient and customized email responses, saving time and improving productivity for its users.

Also, it will allow busy salespeople to use AI-powered tools to compose emails more efficiently.

This move by Microsoft highlights the growing trend of companies adopting AI technology to improve productivity and streamline work processes.
