Salesforce Acquires Vancouver’s Mobify

Sharing is caring!

Mobify, the BC-based mobile commerce platform, has been acquired by Salesforce, the world’s #1 customer relationship management (CRM) tech company, for an undisclosed amount.

Mobify will offer Salesforce Commerce Cloud a modern commerce storefront solution that will enable brands to personalize their shopping experiences faster, deliver a seamless customer experience across all channels, improve customer conversion rates to drive business success in the digital-first economy.

With the Salesforce Commerce Cloud capabilities, companies can create a seamless shopping experience for consumer shoppers (B2C) and business buyers (B2B) across all channels such as mobile, social, web, and store.

Mobify said in a blog statement: After running a multi-year partnership with Salesforce, the acquisition is the extension of a multi-year partnership with the cloud-based customer relationship management (CRM) company to unlock its full potential to deliver a differentiated digital customer experience.

Igor Faletski, the CEO and Co-Founder of Mobify, remarked, “Upon the close of the transaction, we look forward to joining the Salesforce family and partnering with even more Salesforce customers to unlock the freedom and flexibility to differentiate their digital customer experiences.”

Mobify will leverage this partnership to deploy its systems to the Salesforce Commerce Cloud, allowing brands to customize digital storefronts faster and more frequently. The company already works with Under Armour and Shiseido.

The company was founded by SFU students Igor Faletsky and John Boxal. Initially, their first creation was an app that would send SMS text messages to a user’s phone to get bus schedule information sent directly to their mobile phones. Since then, a group of dedicated developers started to adapt and apply their mobile applications and mobile web market skills.
