Salesforce And Siemens Announce Strategic Partnership

Sharing is caring!

Salesforce, the global leader in CRM, and Siemens, a German technology company, have announced a strategic partnership to develop new workplace technologies that help global companies safely reopen and deliver a seamless and exceptional experience at the workplace. This partnership will combine the Workforce’s Work.com and Siemens’ Smart Infrastructure solutions, including Comfy and Enlighted, to manage processes, people, and things that are important for creating secure and connected workplaces.

The key features of a partnership include a “touchless office” capability that allows access to buildings and elevators through a mobile application. An employment management system that uses Siemens’s Comfy application to reserve conference rooms and desks to provide businesses with the process insights for manual, opt-in contact tracing in Work.com to respect users’ privacy.

By combining the best IoT technology from Siemens with the Work.com solution from Salesforce, customers can make data-based decisions based on real-time data and create a flexible and actionable framework for future workplace experience. Salesforce and Siemens will be the first to implement new solutions in their own offices, including the Siemens Smart Infrastructure headquarters in Zug, Switzerland, and the Salesforce Tower in San Francisco.

Roland Busch, Deputy CEO and member of the managing board of Siemens AG, said: “The safe return of people to the workplace is a global challenge. Companies must protect their employees from building trust and confidence. Together with Salesforce, we can swiftly support businesses around the world to implement technology that supports employees as they return to the office while laying the foundations of long-term digital transformation in workplaces.”

Alex Dayon, President and Chief Strategy Officer, Salesforce, remarked, “Organizations worldwide are beginning to reimagine the future workplace experience, putting their employees’ health and safety at the center of their digital transformations. By combining Siemens’ Smart Infrastructure solutions with Salesforce’s Work.com, we are giving companies the tools to make smart quickly, data-driven decisions, and the confidence to reopen safely.

Siemens will contribute to technology from its smart infrastructure portfolio, including tools from IoT company Enlighted and workplace experience solution Comfy. Enlighted collects data from cloud-based smart sensors to provide real-time information about building and space utilization. Comfy offers robust applications that employers can leverage to keep workers informed, reserve space, and request services such as cleaning & maintenance. Along with this, its analytics help companies determine how the workforce utilizes offices and other space.

Also, Comfy Insights gives businesses analytic dashboards to better understand how offices are operated by implementing smarter data-driven and effective workplace strategy.

Launched in May, Salesforce’s Work.com, a suite of new and innovative technology solutions and resources, to help businesses and community leaders safely reopen the workplace, re-skill employees, and respond effectively. It includes employee-wellness assessments, shift management, contact tracing, and emergency response management.
