Salesforce, the world’s leading CRM company, has appointed Bengaluru-based Arun Kumar Parameswaran as senior vice-president and managing director for India’s sales and distribution. Arun will now report to Arundhati Bhattacharya, CEO, and Chairperson, Salesforce India. The appointment of Parameswaran will be effective from May 2021.
As per the reports, Parameswaran joins Salesforce, having 28 years of experience with customers dealing across the enterprise, commercial, public sector, and small and medium businesses. So far, Parameswaran has helped them on their digital transformation journeys, Salesforce said. Also, the last role of Parameswaran was with VMware as vice president for the enterprise business.
Arundhati Bhattacharya, the CEO and Chairperson of Salesforce India, said that India is constantly on its way to becoming one of the fastest-growing regions for Salesforce. The arrival of Arun will support the growing customer base in India.
However, the appointment of Parameswaran can be seen as the second major appointment this year. Earlier this month, Saket Atal was appointed as senior vice-president and managing director, Sites (India), to drive India’s next phase of growth.
India has the second-highest Salesforce workforce outside of the US, with an over-partner ecosystem to support its growing customer base.
CRM platform Salesforce has significantly invested in India over the past years. The company has also added more jobs and expanded its office space and partner ecosystem to support its growing customer base.
