Sharing is caring!

Salesforce, the world’s premier customer relationship management (CRM) organization, has announced its commitment to training 250,000 students in India for future technology jobs by the end of the year 2022.

The San Francisco-based CRM giant signed memorandums of understanding (MoU) with the Telangana Academy for Skill and Knowledge (TASK), the ICT Academy, and ICT Academy of Kerala (ICTAK). Salesforce through these partnerships will bring Trailhead, its online free learning platform, into the classroom – empowering students to skill up through hands-on challenges and gamified learning content.

Sunil Jose, senior vice president and country leader, Salesforce India, remarked we by embracing the enviable workforce of India believe it is our responsibility to reskill workers, create jobs, and help them succeed. Jose added adoption or rapid innovation of emerging technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) are changing the ways we work and live.

Jose went on to comment that there is an evolving requirement for companies while embracing this change to look out for a savvy workforce that is ready to accept and tackle challenges unique to our digital age. It was also remarked by Jose that Salesforce is of the view that Trailhead has the ability to transform lives, make an impact, and nurture careers in the Salesforce ecosystem.

According to recent research by IDC, the prominent research firm, the Salesforce economy will create $67 billion and 548,000 direct jobs in new business revenues in India between 2019 and 2024. With Trailhead, everyone can build the skills they need to land an in-demand job in technology, both beyond and within the Salesforce ecosystem.

Salesforce will plan, create, and execute each of these programs for students, offering the support required to its partners for training with a predefined goal to meet the program objectives. The CRM giant added it will also be bringing job recruitment opportunities to students trained on Salesforce for increasing their employment opportunities.

M Sivakumar, CEO, ICT Academy, remarked the opportunity that Salesforce offers is immense, the community is huge and growing exponentially. Shrikant Sinha, CEO, Telangana Academy for Skill and Knowledge added this partnership with Salesforce for the Trailhead platform will help in democratizing education for the rural youth in the state.
