Thierry Delaporte, the former Chief Operating Officer of Capgemini, is all set for his new outbreaking path to lead an Indian IT service provider, Wipro. Delaporte will join Wipro as its Chief Operating Officer and Managing Director.
Delaporte’s 25 years of experience in his former company of heading several projects and their India’s operations will be a great strategic advantage in order to take over the responsibility of heading the organization at this hour of pandemic and the dwindling economy. Wipro, which has already been lagging behind in their competitive revenue growth from their major rivals, will be now under the responsibility of Thierry, earlier been led by Abidali Neemuchwala. Neemuchwala’s journey at Wipro started in 2015 while also witnessing some tough, challenging times in order to restructure the business across the countries and failing client bankruptcies.
Delaporte, who will be joining from 6th July 2020, said in an interview that he is highly honored to head such a profound technology company and work closely with its board and Premji. Wipro Chairman, Rishad Premji said that Delaporte has all in its bag to lead the company in the right direction towards the future growth plans.
Along with Theirry, Wipro has also appointed Deepak Satwalekar as its director to the board, replacing Arundhati Bhattacharya, who has now taken over the post of CEO in the Indian software company, Salesforce.
